power supply and video card

hey,
if i got this video card ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500013 ) and have an inspiron 530, would i need an extra power supply? would it also be good for call of duty 4?

You do not ever need an "extra" power supply, only a better one than what you've got. After a brief google search I wasn't able to find out what kind of power supply the machine has, but being that it's already running the 8300 GS you should be safe to upgrade to 8600 GT. I don't know the power consumption for sure, though.

The 8600 GT is not a high-end video card but it can run COD4 on modest settings with decent performance:
