odd screen resolution!

ok, i've just put together a new rig. its great and all but just yesterday i installed the nero7 essentials package. it was not what i expected so i imediately uninstalled the thing. the thing asked for a reboot and then upon restart the resolution was wrong. that is 'too small' with every thing showing up too large.

i invested in a 8800gt and own a acer 22" with a native resolution of 1680*1050. On both the xp display panel and nividia display panel they both show full res. any lower and its worse.

if any one has had this problem could you please offer some advice.

im not 100% sure what you are on about.

What is your current resolution? if its 1680 x 1050 that is fine

1. Do you have any means to restore the software to the way it was before you installed Nero?

2. Ideally you'd have an image backup of the Windows partition [C:?] that was made right before you installed Nero, and you'd just restore that.
That would take you back to the way things were when all was well.
Before doing the restore, save any important data files [that are held on the Windows partition and] that have changed since then.
For this reason it's a good idea to keep all data files off C:

Can you take Windows back to a Restore Point made before the installation of Nero?
Which Windows version? XP?
