windows xp et al

hi. i was not satisfied with the windows ME performance in my computer! is it possible to downgrade to windows 98se from ME? if so, how is this done?

if not .... another alternative is upgrading to windows xp. but i heard it wont run well in a celeron633E (pentiumII and the like)? is this statement true?
sys specs:
440mb ram (i wanna take advantage of this with winxp)
nvidiatnt2 32mb
the usual c-media pci sound card

sounds like you're a perfect candidate for winXP!!

you will have no problems with your nividia tnt2 card either.

I didn't.

and 633MHz is plenty,- your RAM sounds good too..!
