my quad core has a werid temperature reading from everest, temperatures are below

CPU:33 c
CPU/CPU core 1: 44c
CPU/CPU core 2: 51c
CPU/CPU core 3: 39c
CPU/CPU core 4: 39c

my room temperature is roughly at 35-45c
i have 5 case fans and 1 cpu hs/f in it.
Does this mean that one side of my heatsink isnt properly seated? since core 1 and 2 are higher than other cores?

IM back!

well most apps\os'es (including vista) only use at most 2 cores so core 1, 2 wold be under more load. that said I dont own a quad so i cant say.

Actually, I'd say that two of the temps are not reporting correctly.

What does the BIOS report for temps?

Trust the BIOS more than a third party program.

the bios is reporting temp at 44c. I am not overclocking anything at this moment
44c at idle thats consider bad?

That is about normal
If you want to see all raise
Run a program that will use all 4 and each core will go up
My q6600 does/shows the same thing until I start a program or programs that will use all 4 cores HWM hardware monitor reports the same way

CPUburn will take each core to 100% for you( run 4 instances of it) and the temps for each will go up as they are used
