Hi guys and girls. I'm working on a budget build for a friend. I pretty much have the thing wrapped up but need a bit of help with the mobo.

here are the options I'm looking at:
GA-EP35-DS3R
GA-EP43-DS3R
GA-EP35C-DS3R

First I would like to ask if the p43 is worth the little bit extra over the p35 model and then if not is the ddr3 support on the last model listed worth the extra $50.

Here are the other specs if they make any difference to your suggestions
Intel e8200
2gb Corsair xms2 ddr2 800
Nvidia 8800gt
Seagate 500gb sata2 hdd
20' lcd wide screen monitor
recycled odds and ends such as case, dvd writer, etc.

thanks in advance

id go with the p35, ddr3 support is not realy a plus yet, as it is not any faster than ddr2 due to latenceys

Yes, I would say keep the money. THG just reviewed P43 MOBO's and didn't like them. You can read the article here (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-p45-chipset,1961.html).

Thanks for the replies people. I wasn't sure about the p43 boards as they are pretty new but I've gone and got the standard p35 ddr2 board and my mate seems pretty chuffed with it so far.:D

"Budget build" and "DDR3" do not belong in the same sentence together right now!! Maybe next year. Maybe.

my mate seems pretty chuffed with it so far.
