How can I find out the make & model of my motherboard . I have a cd manual from time computers but it lists a range of motherboards & also the time online support only says it is an athlon motherboard , then lists various motherboards. I tried ringing time but they said I had too use the £1 a minute line.
Any info gratefully received

Welcome....
Isn't tech support wonderful?
If that's an AMD Athlon based PC, remove the cover off the side
and look for a Mboard name and model number of some sort. Should
be silk-screened on the board.
Or, boot-up and the first screen that comes up use the pause key.
Look in the lower left hand corner for a long string of numbers
and letters. Write these down and post back with us what they are.
The 6th and 7th characters will denote the code for your Mboard.
Luck.

Or you could even go to http://www.motherboards.org/mobocop.html and download their Bios Wizard. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Hello,
I'm looking for my motherboard manual info too. I thought I found the right#: Aladdin5-2a5kkf9bc-00 when I paused after boot, then I went motherboards.org & it wasn't listed. Any other ideas?
Thanks,
NN

Hey Novice,
you can put these sort of things into Google (http://www.google.com) and get a pretty good response.
Here (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Aladdin5-2a5kkf9bc-00&btnG=Google+Search) is the first page of results. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
