I am buying a couple spare cooling fans online but they are different sizes. I think I want a 80mm which apparently is standard for most cases. Am I correct in this assumption?
Also, does the air flow always go from the side with the label (in) toward the side without the label (out)?
Thanks,

Many cases use 120s...
Most fans have an 'air flow' indicator on them...an arrow that points the direction of air flow. But, yeah, the label is usually a good indicator.

In the old days of early cooling requirements (Pentium) 60mm was the "standard" for PC's. In the days of the PIII, 80mm became the "standard". Now in this age of quad-core, we're seeing the "standard" switch to 92mm, 120mm, and even 200mm!
It's all over the place right now. Get whatever fits.
