Hello, Firstly I apologize if I am posting in the wrong area. I would like to purchase a new DVD/VCR Combo player and I was wondering if anyone could please recommend a good unit. I have a analog Toshiba TV which is about five years old and I would like the new player to play DVD's and VHS Tapes and also record onto VHS Tapes. Also, are the DVD Players difficult to connect to TV sets -- I am a senior and would greatly appreciate any easy to follow advice/suggestions. Thanks ever so much. Classic Software has provided me with tremendous and valuable help in the past with my technical questions. Thanks again.

The wife bought a Sylvania branded one, probably was from WalMart but I am not certain.

Im sure if you drive on down to your local super store or large electrical store there will be plenty of friendly staff willing to help you choose the right player, they may even fit it for you.
Price wise you can get some for next to nothing and others you will pay a bit more for, but even cheap brand names usually come out of the same factory as Sony, Toshiba, pioneer etc but just with half the price tag ;)

I believe Newegg now offers stuff like that.
