Problem with upgrade.

I recently upgraded my graphics card to a GeForce 8800GT but my computer's performance seems to have declined.

At first there was a noticeable difference, but a month on I can tell that the computer is much slower. I can no longer hear the fan of my graphics card and any games I try to play run very slowly.

Please mention if you would like to know any more information about the computer

the fan\heatsing might be cloged with dust, making the gpu throttle. take a look at the gpu tems with rivatuner: http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=rivatuner
