Hey first of all thnx to anybody who can further assist me.

I'm not much of a techy guy although i do know a little very little about computers above average user I'd say xD.

I have the following problem my hp omnibook 6100 seems to work randomly pretty good when it's able to start although several times it has shut off by itself. what happens is the following I can be working on it normally and all of a sudden my integrated mouse stops working and the screen freezes up, the thing is that nothing works no keyboard no mouse no screen the only visible sympton is that the power leds turn in the following colors:

power status first led from left to right is off

hard drive activity is also off

main battery status is in a steady amber color

secondary battery status is also in steady amber color

I downloaded the service manual from the following link http://dxcommunication.net/Files/OMNIBOOK_6000-1.PDF
and took it apart the first time worked fine once i assembled it together again although same thing happened again and then i took it apart again although this time the lights stay the same both on in amber color which means The AC adapter is connected and the battery is charging. although the lights stay on even if the power cord is disconnected. It has been that after several days the lights go out and all of a sudden it starts working perfect again stays good for a few days and then same thing all over again. I've troubleshooted by removing the battery and connecting the power cord directly and the lights light up again in amber color.

Please help really desperate to solve it's an old notebook unfortunately it was a gift and can't afford a new one.:( :(
