New PC Build ~ I need Suggestions

I am building a new PC for my birthday and im trying to figure out what I want to build. I am kind of on a budget and would like advice/suggestions on what I have listed below. Thanks for the help.

Case: XCLIO A380PLUS-BK Full Tower
Power Supply: XCLIO Stablepower 1000W
Mobo: EVGA 780i SLI Socket 775
CPU: Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 Yorkfiled 3.0GHz
CPU Fan: Ultra ChillTec Thermal Electric CPU Cooler
Memory: OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 4GB(2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz
Video: XFX GeForce GTX 280 XXX 1GB DDR3
Hard Drive 1: WD Caviar SE16 500GB 7200rpm 16MB
Hard Drive 2: Samsung 160GB 7200rpm 8MB
CD-Rom: WriteMaster DVD-RW
OS: Windows XP Pro 32-bit

This is what I plan on building. I already have the 2 hard drives and Cd-rom, or I would buy something different. I also plan on buying a second GTX 280 some time soon after I build this.

Any suggestions on this build would be great.

Wish I had the cash to drop on a machine like that.

I really dont know that much so dont take this advice without talking to other members here but maybe Vista 64 would be a better option than XP. Especially with a machine like yours.

Nice build going there,

you really have 2 or 4 options

-780i with SLI
-X48 with CF
-790i with SLI and DDR3
-X48 with CF and DDR3

Nvidia is still on top at the moment but ATI is not far behind but is one heck of alot cheaper.

If you tell us your budget we can help a bit more.
