I'm recommending a laptop for my dad to get my sister who is graduating from grad school. What do you think of this Sony one?

I would most likely put XP on it. Would there be anything tricky about downgrading?
I picked the sony over an acer or lenovo mostly for the style and it has pretty good specs in comparison.
