I have a job interview on Wednesday morning with the NHS Scotland for a Network Technical.

Would like to know what kind of questions they are likely to ask me, so i can prepare myself my response quickly.

Anyone been in the same situation before. I want this job badly cos it will give me experience for the future career as a Network technical/Specialist etc.

I am deaf mind you. That would not effect my working situation.

Did the job requirements list any specifics?

Congratulations!

I cant help you with the technical questions but one good thing to say in any job interview is how you plan on staying a long time.

Every time I got a new job I would tell the person interviewing me how I wanted to start my long career and end it with thus company. Even if it was a lie.

They will probably ask what your biggest weakness is. Give them something totally not related to the job. For example, say that you're terrible with mechanical tasks or that you've never been good retail sales.

Definately research the company. They will ask, "so why do you want to work for us, or what do you know about us?" Know their strategy and financial position.

I remember an interview with Avery-Denison, and that they are the "worlds leader in pressure sensitive materials and invented the world's first self adhesive label!" ha I'll never forget that! Didn't get the job though a better one came along soon after, funny how things always work out.

They'll definately ask you if you have any questions. Always ask something to avoid looking uninterested. A good one is "what is the typical career progression in this company?"

Check out MSN they have all kinds of "10 things you never want to do at an interview" sort of stories.

Never presume you got the job by asking about salary, or requesting time off, or asking about vacation, etc. negotiation will come later.

Walk in with a nice suit, a good hand shake, walk tall, keep your head up, keep eye contact. Just ooze confidence, that's what they want to see. Believe in yourself and they will as well.
