Ok.
I would like to try crysis, but I don't know if I have a powerful enough computer...
I would like to know if I am just dreaming... or if crysis is within my range..

I have a laptop and here are the specs...

it is a HP Pavilion dv5t series with Vista 64

Resolution= 1280X800
CPU= Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor P8600 (2.4 GHz)
Ram= 3GB
Graphics= 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT

Does anyone think I could possibly play crysis? I know it won't work with "very HIgh" settings, but on a smaller screen, with lower settings, Could I manage to squeek it out??

I'd appreciate any thoughts/Help.
THanks,

Yeah, it should play...maybe even a bit higher than 'bare bones'.

ok.
Thanks for the reply..
I was hoping that..
the reason I was worried was becasue I have a friend who has crysis on "very high" settings and still only gets around 25 fps with two 8800 GTs sli'd!

I know I won't even come close to setting my crysis at very high let alone high, but I would still just like the experience...

Then there is something else causing a bottle neck...those cards in SLI should be getting better than 25 fps.

On my 8800 GTS I get about 20-30FPS on normal settings.

SLI'd 8xxx series cards should get about 30 fps, minimum. Except, maybe the two 8xxx cards that shouldn't have been made...8400 and 8600, at least in almost all the reviews I've read. A single card...yeah I can buy 25 fps.

On the laptop, everything on low or maybe just a tad higher, at the native resolution should be 'playable'...not great, but doable. The system with the SLI'd 88xx should be doing around 30.

George, you should be doing a bit better than that with your 280, weren't you better than that with your last card?

That was on DX9 with just high settings and 2 x AA

i will have play with the settings later and see what i get i just wanted to see what the card gets with those settings. :p
