Battery life

I bought I new HP and the battery was OK lasting an average of 2 hours. Now it only lasts 15 min. and this is only less than a year after I bought. How come my battery died like that. Did I hear we should never have it plugged in at the same time we use it?

Batteries can go bad, charging connections can go bad, any warranty left?

The battery "memory" issue was primarily for the old NiCad batteries, which required periodic Deep Cycling to keep them working properly, much less required for the NiMH, almost none for the Lithium Ion cells.

You should still have some warranty left if it is less than a year old...call HP and get a warranty replacement. There was another post recently with the same problem...it was also an HP.
