I've been having recent problems with my graphics card and recently got a new one, a 3d Prophet 4000xt-64mb TV OUT, Hercules Kyro. I couldn't get it working but finally it worked after 4 hours of pain.
Now, to make it better and look good I linked it to my TV with a video (yellow) wire. It is on my AV3 channel but is in Black and White PLEASE help me out here. The colours at full and everything and my TV and Monitor are still in perfect colour. Only when I change to PC is it in B&W http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif

http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif My TV is British so would that make a difference. I'm not sure how or if PC's are affected in anyway with PAL and NTSC
Have you checked to see if there is a jumper or software control to switch the TV output between NTSC and PAL modes? Most of the specifications I have found say the card supports both.

Well I would but can you tell me where to look. There is a switch on the scart lead that goes into my TV but it goes black when I switch that and I can't see one http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif in the options either. I might of missed it but could you tell me where I should be looking.
Also, could it be because I use a scart to red white yellow lead, I know it can appear black with N64's and Gamecubes when you do that.
Hi All,
I use a set of gold av leads.
SVHS/Audio/video. Plugged into the front of my tv.
Scart lead won't work for some reason.
I had colour problems and had to download an extra driver, or patch as they called it.

If you are trying to watch DVD's from PC to TV you will need a program like "TV Tool" to disable the Macrovision copy protection as this causes most picture problems such as black and white or lines on screen etc.
TV Tool also comes in handy when trouble shooting as you can alter the colour carier to the tv and also choose a VHS or S video signal to the TV and this solved my black and white tv picture problem.
you can find more information at www.tvtool.de (http://www.tvtool.de)
p.s. you may need to find out which tv-out chip your graphics card uses either chrontel or one of the other ones as I think there are only certain chips this program supports
Anyway I hope this helps and if I have the wrong end of the stick then let me know http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
