hello everyone,
got an antiquated system....from a friend as a gimme...
everything worked fine, its not connected to the net in anyway... open task manager and there is loads of processes I don't know listed...figured out that it was JUNO...yes iknow its c**p loaded with spyware.. so I decided to remove it...no unistall and add/remove programs worked but after restart there it is again,....so I got fed up and decided best answer "low level format with 98" hehee I like this trick.... start to get the cab files and bam system crash/lock....hard boot(powerbutton)windows comes up fine...allbeit at a snails pace (juno processes again) however now the floppy drive doesn't work..... any ideas on how I can get this system up and free it of juno ... other than a shotgun funeral?

I think the floppy may be a mere coincedence, but if there is nothing on it you want the best way would be to reformat the drive, but to do that you need a working floppy.......so try reseating the floppy cable, run a cleaner disk through it, swap it with a known working one, if that fails you can pull the drive and set it to slave and reformat it on an known working system, then after you return it to the juno infested machine (after restting it to master) set the boot order to boot from the CD drive and put in the Windows CD and go from there.

Also try using msconfig and disableing all the start up programs...that may let you remove all of juno from the current install.
