Im deeply sorry if this topic is posted in the wrong forum but anyways this is my problem -

I have a VPN. Only 1 VPN. I need it so I can connect to my office and I use RDP to access my office comp.

Now I also have a game in my normal comp called Martial Heroes. Its a mmorpg.
So it has a server which I can connect to mh. Now the problem is when I dont connect through my VPN, the server doesnt pop out, it says Server connection failure. But when my VPN works, the server pops out and so I can login to the game.

Here is a screenshot - http://i35.tinypic.com/35i0v8h.jpg

Thats when the server doesnt come. Sometimes this message pops out - http://i37.tinypic.com/9s84dh.jpg. Now normally for other people, the server will be displayed.

Now I also cant connect to my vpn all the time. I use it once in a week. But I cant delete it or configure any of my vpn. So what I want is I should be able to connect to MH without the help of the VPN.

Welcome to the PC guide.

The first thing I would suggest is that you temporarily shut off your firewall and see if you can connect. If you're using a router it may be filtering out the connection as well, so you could try connecting to your modem directly and see if that works. After that, you may need to contact your ISP and see if they are blocking whichever ports this program uses. Finding out which ports those are might be tough if you're not a savvy networker.

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Perhaps the game's servers have blocked certain IP's from your ISP. Or perhaps your ISP is packet-filtering the game. Connecting to a VPN just to play a free online MMORPG seems a little too fishy to me!

Alternatively, you can certainly do an online search for proxy services. Many such free services exist to... do things... that I won't mention... ;)

hehehe, i dont think the game server ip has been blocked as other people who are using my isp have no problems.

But what kind of proxy services ? vpn proxy services? ^^ Do you mean like these softwares - http://free-vpn-proxy.qarchive.org/downloads.html

The only useful information I have from the game is that its server ip is - 213.75.37.134

And ive done tracert the ip - the results were good - it had a path with either router

Ty for the reply btw

Have you tried to contact the game's publisher or tech support dept? It seems to me that if the game works on your PC over a VPN, and it works on other PC's using similar settings and the same ISP as yours, then there is some sort of problem with your specific PC. Or your specific internet connection. That's what makes the most sense.
