i have spent the WHOLE day trying to make my new acer laptop connect with the netgear router that runs on our ancient desktop!!! i have got NOWHERE!!!!!!!!!!
on my acer laptop 'netgear' is visible full connection, the works. but will not connect AT ALL!!!!
i found the MAC number and registered it to the netgear router....still hasn't worked.
could the fact that the laptop runs on VISTA be a problem as all the other comps in my house run on XP?
please help because i will not be beaten by this but i actually have no clue what i am doing:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
