Cant access internet pls help serious!

I have got a broadband connection 128 kbps speed;

now a days when i connect my internet wire to my pc it shows that its connected but when i ping my dns server it sends 32 bytes of data with 100% loss which means server down. But actually when i run same connection on my laptop it just runs fine.:(

on laptop there is no server down problem but on my pc the notification icon on bottom right in task bar shows connected. but at the time of pinging nothing comes:confused:

i reinstalled windows and configured all the settings. but same problem still there:( .

i tried to troubleshoot my hardware problem but it just shows its fine:confused:

pls help me tell me what is happening and what to do:rolleyes:

Full hardware specs, please...Windows version, any other software, like additional Firewalls, etc.

nvidia GFX card

Realtek ethernet card fast NIC
with latest updated drivers

Windows XP pro sp2
windows inbuilt firewall

may be its hardware problem

Open a command prompt, on the desktop, with the internet connected, and type in "ipconfig /all > ipconfig.txt" and post the contents of the text file in your next post it will probably be found in either your My Documents or Documents and Settings...your user account folders.

my isp corrected the problem ;) thnx for your help also:)
