Dear Technical Advisers,
RE: CPU: Celeron 1.7 GHz
OS: Windows XP Pro
New Motherboard: MSI P4 Mainboard PM8M-V
New Replaced Two DDR 400 SDRAMs OF A Total Of 448 MB
Seagate HDD 20GB
After following Microsoft's advice to decrease hardware acceleration, the system still froze when clicking and surfing through several thumbnails, eg waterfalls, mountains, etc. And, most of the times the opened webpage could not be closed by clicking on the X.
Please advise, will installation of extra one GB of RAM will help to remove the freeze?
Another problem is the mouse which made a clicking sound or a series of it when it was clicked onto a favourite or a thumbnail. Do you think the old mouse is the problem which needs to be replaced, or something else, bearing in mind the motherboard is quite new? Or, could it be the connection of the mouse to the back of the case?
Please render your expert opinions on the two matters, so that I would be helped.
Your prompt reply will be much appreciated.
Thanks and bye.
