As a total newbie could someone explain how I would know which way around I need to fit the system panel connectors from my new case onto the motherboard. I understand from the motherboard manual whats required but I don't want to fit the case panel leads back to front and short something out!!! I have noticed that these small connectors have a tiny triangle on one 'pin receiver' - does this indicate that this should go to the ground pin???
Thanks for any help

They should be labeled on the board and only work one way round.

Thanks for your reply,
I mean the connectors (not motherboard) that have the following writing on one side of them on them:
'Power led' (2 Pin connector: Blue lead with triangle marking on connector +white lead )

'Hdd led'(2 pin connector: Orange lead with triangle marking on connector + white lead )

'Reset sw'(2 pin connector:Grey lead with triangle marking on connector + grey lead )

'Power sw'(3 pin connector:Green lead with triangle marking on connector + white lead )

'Case Speaker(4 pin connector:Red lead with triangle marking on connector + black lead )

I understand exactly where they go on the motherboard except for which way around i.e. I could put them in 180 degrees out.
On one side of these connectors they have a small triangle printed to one of the pins - does this indicate the ground pin or the +5v pin ? If not, how can I tell which pin goes to the live and which one goes to the ground one?
If I put them in back to front will this damage the motherboard ?
Thanks for any help

Connect the leads (coming from the front panel of the case) of the power switch (not power supply), power LED, the reset button, the speaker and the HDD LED to the motherboard. The polarity of the power switch, reset button and speaker is not important. The others for some reason I always get wrong and have to reverse them later on.

Glad it worked out for ya with leds you are not really putting power to anything only receiving the power. The one's that are important are the power off the PWR supply they have to be right or you will fry the system.

I could be mistaken, but I think the worst that can happen if you make a mistake is that your LEDs will not light up, so then you'd just reverse them on the pins.
