when i double click on my computer , how do the computer knows that i
clicked on my computer ? and when i press "enter" for example in a dialog box to express yes and other "enter" to express cancel , how do the computer knows that ?
for my question to be more accurate let's consider that i have opened my PC and the desktop appears for me after loading windows , now i want to open start menu so i'll click with my mouse on the start menu , i want know a description to what happenes inside my computer till the start menu pops-up . note that : don't tell me that for example the operating system (tells) the hardware to do so and so , but describe the operation in details the word (tells) doesn't descripe the operation, i think that would help me a lot.
i hope that no one give me an advice or a link to search in " Goole " because i always get hundreds of sites and many of them aren't talking about what i want and ofcourse i won't spend hours looking inside these sites and i may not find anything!!!!!!!!!

I'm afraid do_little that in the end you will have to do your own research in order to even understand the "details".

When you make a statement like that it shows that your not willing to do the work yourself. Maybe refine your search a bit.

As far as I can see you, by your own admission, are doing very little on your own and are expecting everything to be handed to you in a way that you can understand, and will not accept the facts, as presented by some very knowledgable people, that what you may have read somewhere was either misinterpretted or wrong. Many of the links provided were direct links to the requested information or to many pages worth of the information.

I'm not mocking you do_little.
But if your not willing to invest your own time in your education, then don't expext anyone else to do so.
Perhaps you should change your learning method. Books instead of "internet searches" may be what you need or signup for formal classes. I know that I can't learn anything from "learning software" but instead get better and improved understanding from books.

No one getting down on ya,It just seems like you don't want to put any effort forward,People here are a bunch of nice humanbeings we all get razzed once in a while,There are boundries that we all cross and then the Cow goes thru the fan,If you show that you are willing we don't mind helping but you can't learn by us doing it all for you.We don't want you to leave we just want you to know where were coming from.So put some effort into it show everyone what you've learned so far a help solve some problems around here that is the way to learn.

no i'm still here
whosaid that i don't want to investigate my time , who said that i want to learn everything from u without doing any addtional effort , who said that i want to ask and wait for the reply and if doesn't come then i through the qusetion out of my mind , is the note that i wrote which says that no one give me a link or an advice to search in goole made u think of that all ???!!!! if u read it carefully u'll see that i mentioned the reason of why i don't want to search in that search engine especially , because it gives me a lot of sites or to be more accurate hundreds of
websites that i should look in them all , the problem is not in the huge number to search in , the problem is that most of them is not covering the points i want , so i said that .One another thing that i didn't say that no one give me a link to search at all , i mentioned only Goole search engine , maybe there are others better than Goole that i woludn't mind to search for any topic using them . One last thing about time , i'm busy most of the day , so many times i don't have time to search or to look in the ( magnificent ) search results , so i asked those questions to u may i find an answer or a link to the answer or any help , but u missedunderstanding me , why i don't know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey do_little,
if you have a problem with your pc, you will find that folks here will do their utmost to help you, however it seems like at the moment that you just want to satisfy your curiosity, nothing wrong with that. but it seems to me that the biggest problem that you have is that you're dissatisfied with your search results ! only way to improve is to practice, google is one of the best engines and if you practice a lot you will get a lot of satisfaction from it.
stick around and follow the threads, also do some searching from the engine on the forum, read the pc guide & if you get stuck come back with your question, stating where you have looked for an answer, and if you get a link in the reply, then follow it up.
the knowledge & satisfaction that you get out is directly related to the effert that you put in.

but u missedunderstanding me , why i don't know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because you keep asking the same question over and over. Each time refering that the last answer given wasn't good enough. (when in fact it was, because it answered what you asked )
If you need help with a certain subject. No problem. If you have a problem with a certian area that you don't understand. No problem. But to keep asking how a computer works ...all details, make the answer better this time...without so much as a please or a thank you.
You might not mean it the way you typed it, but it sure comes off wrong.
Remember that "posting" isn't really an ideal teaching enviroment. So don't expect too much. All anyone can do here is point you in a certain direction or expand on a certain point. They can't "teach" you and frankly you shouldn't want them to. Who say's that what I type or anyone types is correct? I could be dead wrong on the matter.
So if you want to be "schooled" I wouldn't look only on the internet.
That's just my 2 cents....

Not much I can add to what Ghost_Hacker has already said, and the others as well.
I think what you need is a good college course, probably computer science. we can answer questions in broad generalities, but what you are asking for is detailed specifics concerning the intricate inner workings of computers. That's not our realm of expertise here, most of us have a general understanding of the concepts, but I don't think anyone here is familiar enough with the details you want to effectively answer your questions.
As far as searching goes, all of us at one time or another were frustrated with search engines for the same reasons you point out. Run a search and get hundreds of hits to wade through. The only thing you can do about that is practice and learn how to determine the best keywords to use for a particular situation. If you work at it, trial and error will usually get decent results. I've spent well over an hour many times trying to locate information for one question here on the forums, in a few cases over two hours. In many cases I've had to try a half dozen keywords or phrases to get decent results, then wade through over a hundred of the results to get what I was looking for. That's the only way you can learn to effectively use search engines. The same way we all did.
I also noticed some of your questions look a lot like they came right out of a textbook. If so, you're really barking up the wrong tree, we don't do your homework for you. If we strongly suspect you're looking for answers to homework questions, links to Google are about all you can expect. In that case, all I can say is learn to use search engines effectively, same as the rest of us have.
Go back and re-read the topics you have posted. I've been following them and in every case I considered the responses posted to be sufficient. Some even specifically answered your questions, but you don't want links to webpages to read, you want us to spoon-feed you the answers. It's not going to happen. Read the links posted, in most cases your answers are there.
Don't expect us to spend 20 minutes typing out a specific, detailed answer when we can post a link that someone has already researched and typed and move on to our primary mission...fixing computers. We have around 60-100 new posts a day here, and lots of people looking to us for answers. That takes all of us a lot of time, and most of these people have already worked all day, some have already been fixing computers all day. So we post some links if possible and press on. Read them.
If you want more detail than these good folks have offered, enroll in a college course in Computer Science. We're not teachers in that respect, although we do teach and learn from each other. We deal in generalities though, not details, in most cases.
Start reading more and complaining less...

again missunderstanding or at another word missreading
" so i asked those questions to u may i find an answer or a link to the answer or any help "
that's my words , so how do u say that i don't want to read ?!!!!!
the only thing that i was wrong in that really i want to practice more on searching as many said . One last thing that's my qusetions is coming out through my mind directly into the keyboard , i never " copy " questions from any text book or magazine or anything else , and if i do so , then why asking u ?!! , why not asking say my teacher who gave me the homework or i call the author who wrote the article in the magazine and ask him ??!!!! read well and think well before accusing me that i want to be spoon-fed.

Do_little,
You're obviously not Dr. Do_Little but I'll give it a go.
All key strokes and positions of the mouse lead the circuits to a destination via a pathway. Imagine your screen as a big printed circuit board and the mouse pointer as an eletrical wire that you are using to complete the circuit.
My best advice is for you to take an electronics course or at least an introductory one to give you a faint picture of what goes on inside the pc and the keyboard and mouse. Your questions aren't that easy to answer here in a forum, they take quite a bit of time to learn enough to where you will start to comprehend it in a useful way.
BTW Why does a mouse have only one ball? Is this a physical defect?LOL
Hope this helps.
