I have set up a wireless router network in my home.

The wireless router I have is a Buffalo wireless-G 125 High Speed broadband router, bridge and access point.

The problem I am having is I cannot get my laptop to access the wireless. The router works with a physical connection to the four ports but I like to work in different parts of my room via wireless. This is a new problem ever since my young niece was left alone with the router.

I remember setting up a password when I brought it new. Now when I log on to the PC my laptop does not automatically detect the wireless router. So I right click on the "wireless PC" icon from my system try. This brings up a dialogue box titled "Wireless Network Connection" click on a link called "Refresh network list" and I can see the Buffalo router in a window and when I press on the <connect> button it asks for my password and I am certain I am typing the correct password but I am unable to connect to the router.

Note when I purchased the Buffalo router new it had CD ROM etc but cannot find any of this now.

The last hour I have been trying to fix it myself.
I beleive I have this the router on the URL address below:

http://www.buffalo-technology.com/products/wireless/wireless-g-125-high-speed/wireless-g-high-speed-router-whr-g125/

Having read the AOSS technology it mentions I need a Buffalo Client Manager Software. Where can I get this as I have lost the CD ROM?

Thank you for your help in advance

You should be able to access the router with out much of a problem. Open up Internet Explorer (this is one of the few times Internet Explorer is good...) and open up command prompt ( start run type "cmd" (with out the quotations) [enter]. In command prompt type "ipconfig".

You should be given the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and default gateway.

In Internet Explorer, type the string of numbers they way they apear for the default gateway. This should take you to the Router Configuration page. Go to Security, and fix the password and such.

In the download area of the Buffalo site, under the Wireless G Broadband rouuter and Access point on the drop down list...Utilities.

awaj...may need the password to reset it with the web interface or even to log in that way. The client software should be able to reset the router to the defaults or there may be a reset procedure listed in the documentation, also available in the Buffalo download area.

Thank you

I have been able to set up a new connection by using factory reset and following the comments suggested on this thread
