Bad Scrolling

Hi,
When i scroll on a page it wont scroll smoothly, like the page takes a second for it to finish doing its thing and like the pages are sort of washing on the screen like stes of waves.
How do i stop this happening?????????

What do you have for a vid card? That could cause it... so could extremely low RAM.

What browser?

could be a few things,

-If you have firefox go to tools > options > advanced > general and there is a smooth scrolling option that may solve it
-Odd as it may seen i have found that scrolling can take a lot of CPU power, what CPU do you have?

also does this happen on every page?

If you are using an old version of IE such as Internet explore 6 you may want to update to internet explorer 7 or switch to firefox (or any other you wish).

What windows are you using also?

That can also happen on some pages if there is an excessive amount of scripting and Flash animations such as someone's poorly designed (overcrowded) MySpace page with .gif animations, flash files, even mini Mpeg viewers set to open with the page being viewed.

This not always depends on how much RAM, video card, you have or the type and speed, but the speed of your internet connection, even how much bandwidth is available on the hosting site as well ie possibly at busy times of day etc...
