Locked out of Windows

Hi,
I have a problem where every time i turn on my PC i am asked to input my password to log on...thats no problem,,,Then it asks for a password to get into windows... i have never set a password for this and it makes the pc,outlook etc impossible to use...When it asks for this i can press cancel and get in but i can't use outlook....does anyone know how to rectify this problem???

What windows are you running? If your running XP pro.....When the computer is loading, press and hold the F8 key on the keyboard. This will bring up a Windows Advanced Startup menu. From this menu, select Safe Mode and then press Enter. On the next screen highlight Windows Xp Professional and select enter again. This puts you in safe mode. Log in as the administrator (because this is pro, the password may be blank, but you also may have specified a password during setup) and follow the previous instructions?
