Hey all, I'm back. I was wondering if anyone has any idea for this problem.

At the school I'm attending right now they just added wireless internet and it is only accessible from 1 or two buildings on campus (and there are atleast 9 that I know of.) It really sucks. I bought this laptop just from school and and I want to try to make use of it.

I am not allowed to connect to their network via ethernet cable. I do, however, have full read/ write access to a PC, so I was wondering if there are any ways to share internet access from that PC to my laptop.

I couldn't add another ethernet card to the PC. Is there something on the market that will do this? I remember seeing a USB to ethernet cord that may act as a crossover cable? I'm really at a loss here, guys.

Please point me in the right direction if this is something easy.

Thanks guys.

Could you expound on this further?

This is a local community college. I can login to the computer with my login information, and AFAIK I have full access to the PC in class including read/write access.

What I would like it a device that will allow the internet to be shared on the classroom pc to where my laptop could use it.

WE can't help you overcome the security your university has put in place to protect their network.
