Power up and beep, but video quickly dissappears!

Hi all,

I finally completed my first build yesterday and heard the glorious fan spinning and beep upon first start-up. The problem is the screen displays the initial setup, but only briefly and then goes blank!

The strangest part of all is that when i turn my monitor on and off, it displays again briefly and goes blank after each toggle. I checked on another monitor with similar results. It is sending out a signal to the monitor and i've seen quick flashes of set-up screens, but ONLY quick flashes.

Any ideas....?

That sounds like a problem with the GPU in your video card. You might want to contact the manufacturer or check the card yourself.

Also, can you post specs?

Try reseating the video card and any power cables the card uses.
