Hi All,
Has anyone tweeked there Mtu & Rwin settings for broadband.
If so how and what to, or is there a programme that does it.
OS XP Pro.

Plenty of conflicting information out there about this. I'm inclined to believe what this guy (http://cable-dsl.home.att.net/) has to say about it.

www.dslreports.com/tools (http://www.dslreports.com/tools) has a pretty nice GUI for changing your RWIN.
They also have a tool at www.dslreports.com/tweaks (http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks) that will check your settings and help you decide if you need to change them. It is specific to your OS and connection type.

DRTCP (http://www.dslreports.com/front/drtcp.html) is a good utility that you can use to adjust your MTU and RWIN. When you tweak your settings be sure to select the correct network adapter if you have multiple adapters. Actually the default Win XP Pro settings are optimal you might get a little more by adjusting your settings but I doubt it

yep kfh- between rond and spike, dsl reports has the drtcp tool and other tools and there are guys who LIVE for connection tweaking there to help.
