I like it. The motherboard offers onboard HD video support and with another graphics card on top, you're sorted. The processor is good, but I wonder why AMD? Is there a particular reason other than just for a change?

I chose AMD because I have a PC with Intel Pentium 4 @ 3.0GHz however the performance is much much slower. I decided to see if AMD has something more to offer. I didn't find anything in particular so I just decided that I should test it out and see if there is any difference. I'm worried about the processor overheating though. I hope I have the proper cooling inside the case. More feedback would be appreciated.

Intel has come a long way since the inefficient P4 Netburst architecture, their Core2Duo processors run cool and have great performance, making AMD play catch up these days.

The P4 PC that I have was purchased in 2007 so I don't think it has the Netburst architecture. Also PrntRhd do you think this is a good build to invest in?

All P4's used Netburst, I own two of them.

What applications do you do with your PCs, and what is your budget?

I will be using Photoshop and Adobe Premiere. The OS will be Vista Home Premium. Also I plan on doing some light gaming.

I will be using Photoshop and Adobe Premiere.
OK, the CPU throughput and RAM is most important, the type of games you want to play determines the video card selection.

Ok, so do you think that this is a good investment?

I will let the others determine that, just wanted to clarify what it is that you are spec'ing the PC to do.
