I have recently moved from a Mac to a PC at work and need to keep the emails from my inbox. I cannot figure out how to transfer alll my data across from Mac Mail to Outlook - is there a way?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...
there is a .pst file you need. it's mostlikely found under "C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\"
Where [username] is where you put the name that you log in under. Also, that is with out the quotation marks. Put the .pst file onto a flash drive or something, put it onto the mac. open up the mail client in the mac and look for something like import mail account or something like that.
I don't own a mac, nor hopefully ever will... so that's as far as I can help. other people here may beable to give more help if you need it

Awaj is right, although it seems he misread the question. I understand that you want to move mail from MAC to PC.
And I am also not familiar with MAC stuff either, but outlook is going to want to see a .pst file as awaj suggested. It might be that MAC stores email in a .pst file already and the file can simply be copied to the new PC, the the data file can be added to outlook. If MAC stores mail in a format other than .pst, then you may need to look for a conversion utility.
I'm curious about this one. Let us know what you find, and if you have further questions post them.
