Ye olde internet has been slowing down to a snail's pace at my house and at first I though it was my computer, but the same was happening with my wife's and son's. I recycle the power on the modem and router and it goes back to normal speed on all three machines. We use an old-fashioned wired setup here, nothing wireless. I have a Motorola cable modem with a Linksys Network Everywhere wired router. (The old blue box.) All of us have Win XP Pro.
This has happened a couple of times recently after years of flawless operation. Does this mean my modem or router is getting old and slow?
