Does anyone know about the following
within the CMOS
CMOS OEh 13h AMSTRAD -TIME AND DATE MACHINE LAST USED
Does this mean that there is some way to know when a computer was last used?I found this sentence in a description under CMOS bit set ups

Tried doing a Google search on that, but I kept getting .pdf files with Karnaugh maps and logic circuit diagrams. Me thinks that even if this info is stored on the CMOS, it's probably not acessible to you or me. Probably requires some hardcore coding and some kind of EEPROM extraction equipment.
Why, are you nervous about your mobo's security? When you're done with your comp, all you gotta do is reset the CMOS. Or if your mobo doesn't have that option, take out the battery for a long time http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif.

What I would like to know is if there is a way to know when the computer was last used. The CMOS OEh 13 description implies that one can, and I wanted to know if this is true.
There are probably several dozen ways to track when a computer was use, many of which would log a time/date for logon/logoff...but all of them (unless you send the log file over a network) will have a findable log file that can be tampered with. So the idea of something that can read the relatively safe and not easily tampered CMOS to gather that info is very attractive...hmm, something more to look into here.
