I've installed Network Magic from Pure Networks.
After completely removing the program by anyway I could,
I found that it left an icon on my desktop called "Network Magic Folders" (which doesn't work now, anyway), which I can't seem to remove.
I found that there are two dll files that are still running in memory: nmrsrc.dll and nmspce2.dll, and I don't know how to terminate them and get rid of the program.
They reside in the programs directory and are also the reason why I can't delete it.
Any idea how I get rid of this?
Thanks in advance!
p.s.
The program didn't leave any processes or services active, and it doesn't show up in the Add/Remove programs section anymore. Just thought I'd mention that.

What I'd do...
I have Win2000Pro installed.
1. "it left an icon on my desktop...which I can't seem to remove"
(a) Install and use the FREE MoveOnBoot (http://www.emco.is/products/move-on-boot/features.php) to choose the shortcut file to be deleted at the next reboot.
You could use this to delete all the program files, but only after an attempt to uninstall as in 3 below, or unticking from the Startup list as in 2 below.
2. "two dll files that are still running in memory: nmrsrc.dll and nmspce2.dll, and I don't know how to terminate them"
(a) First possible method:
Install and use the FREE Startup Control Panel (http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml) to untick the appropriate program from the particular location that has it set [there are 4 locations/tabs].
And/or...
(b) Install and run the FREE Process Explorer (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx), and use that to display all running processes, and "Kill Process Tree" for those unwanted processes.
Those dll's may be running under some higher exe process [whose tree you need to kill], so you may need to "View->Show lower pane" and also "View->Lower Pane View->DLL's" to find which higher process they are running under.
3. "it doesn't show up in the Add/Remove programs section anymore"
Is there any unins[tall] [exe?] file in the Program folder?

Using Process Explorer I could see that the two dll's I mentioned before are running under explorer.exe, but there is no way to remove or close them.
My question is simple, how do I remove/disable dll's?
I don't think it's a good idea to delete them from safe mode because I remember seeing cases of systems not booting properly with messages of missing dll's... but maybe it's ok in this case, let me know if you know.
There was a handle related to Pure Networks that I could close, but that didn't do much difference regarding the dll's or anything else.

I went into the registry and removed all entries relating to those dll's,
then I restarted the computer, and instead of a "Network Magic Folders" icon there was a nameless icon which I could just delete. Problem solved.
