Hello everyone.
I just got a Dell I530-110B Quad Core-6Gigs RAM

I have an Emu 1820M Audio Interface(Sound Card).
I do Music Production/Mixing/Mastering/Recording.

I had the Emu 1820M PCI Soundcard in an older EMachine T3256.

The Sound Card requires that I connect to the P-Connector, to power the sound card of course.

However, the P-Connector in the new Dell computer, is very thin.

Below you can see what I currently have, and what is in the Dell.

Before I start splicing wires, Is there an adapter to allow me to connect the larger 4 Prong P6 connector, to the more slender P6 connector in the dell???

Also, if I do splice the wires, what is the Orange wire for on the new "thin" P-Connector? I would only splice into the Red/Black/Black/Yellow wires.

So, the card has to have a 4 pin Molex connector (the kind used to connect to IDE hard drives...), correct?

The new machine has the connector shown in the second pic...which is actually hard to identify what it is for from that pic, but I'm guessing it may be a SATA power connector...is it a 'free' connector from the power supply?

Ok, did some searching. You tipped me off by letting me know that the 4-Pin was a Molex connector.
Then did some searching on SATA Power connectors.
Found alot of adapters. You've been a big help.
I will just go down to the local computer store and get one.
