I understand with laser printers that with more memory installed there is less likelihood of data overruns. I want to buy an inkjet for very light duty use and wonder how much what significance is memory to an inkjet. I sometimes have large spreadsheets in excel and word documents which also have graphs which need the color. Most of the laserjects in the $150 range have memorys like 56kb. I ofen have trouble with my 2mb Oki black and white with buffer overruns, how would this be effected by an inkjet described. Thanks for anyone's help

I think you will find the Buffer Over run is a communication problem between the printer driver or spooler and the printer itself.

I have a number of inkjet printers Ranging from 56K to 24 Meg of memory.
The only benefit of the extra memory in One is the spooler and or system
Can send a larger amount to the printer before it has to wait for the printer to empty the buffer
