Hello all!

I just got the PC version of Mass Effect and as much as I like the game, I found one feature to be particularly strange. That is, of course, dynamic shadows. I turned the option off pretty early in the game once I recognized the developer's idea of "shadows" to be "ugly, choppy black triangles randomly appearing on the face of every npc."

Is there just something wrong on my end? I have all the settings maxed out and the film grain turned off (another feature that in my opinion was ugly) and I am running this on the system that appears in my signature.

Also, I am using a 1360x768 16:9 LCD TV for a display. Could this be my issue?

All I know is HDMI is the ultimate way to connect the pc to LCD tv. Component and composite connections arent quite as good for image quality.

Does the 9800 GTX even HAVE a HDMI output? If so, then I'm on board.

No, just VGA or DVI , but I believe a DVI to HDMI cable exists.

I've never connected my pc (upstairs) to my Vizio (downstairs).
