Ever get frustrated because your slightly older game you enjoy doesn't have ANY widescreen support?
I have found, recently, that editing the options.ini file will allow you to play in the resolution you want. This won't work in every game (Diablo 2 it won't work, there is no options.ini file).
But it DID work for me in LOTR:BFME2 and Fable:The Lost Chapters.
In Vista, files and folders are hidden by default. To remedy this:
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ____________________________________
--> Control Panel\Folder options\View\check box to show HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS.
--> If letter "C" is your HD where you store your games:
--> C:\Documents and Settings\Users\User\App Data\My Battle for Middle Earth Files 2
--> * locate options.ini
--> *use NOTEPAD to change the resolution you see listed, skip a single space like it is written.
--> EXAMPLE (1024 786)--> change to (1680 1050)
-->Save. you are done.
In Fable you can't save, just hit cancel after making your change, it still works.
