Hello everyone!

I finally decided to go ahead and give Vista a shot. The idea of having a nifty 64-bit OS was just too appealing for me! I want to be able to use all 4 GB of my RAM and I want that DX10!

So, with that in mind, I thought it might be a good idea to mention that I have two external hard drives, both of which were compressed from the root on down using Windows XP file compression.

Can I expect any issues to occur with 64-bit vista in regards to these compressed files?

I cant think of any reason why there should be any difference with Vista and XP as regards NTFS drive/folder/file compression. It can be turned on and off on the relevant data and is a function of the file system rather than the OS as such.

Certain partitions created by Vista may be invisible from XP when mulitbooting but that is a different issue due to changes (http://www.multibooters.co.uk/partitions.html) in the way partition boundaries are created.

32/64 bit is not an issue with either.
