Hi.
How much of a difference would I notice going from a RAM with CAS Latency of 2.5 to 3? I know 2.5 is better (faster) than 3, but not sure if I will notice the slowness by moving over to 3.

This is what I have now:
Corsair ValueSelect VS1GBKIT400: 2 x 512MB, PC 3200, CAS Latency 2.5, Timing 2.5-3-3-8

This is what I am thinking about adding or replacing with:
Corsair ValueSelect VS2GBKIT400C3: 2 x 1GB, PC 3200, CAS Latency 3, Timing 3-3-3-8

One other thing is..
Will mixing the CAS Latency (2.5 and 3) cause any problems?
Trying to see if I should add or replace what I have...

Thanks!

There shouldn't be a problem...as long as you don't try to force everything to run at 2.5.

Running the 2.5 at 3 won't have any detrimental side effects.

Since, this is Corsair, the 3 may be able to run at 2.5...it isn't that much lower, but it is better to just run everything at 3 (that is if your BIOS allows you to set the latencies).

k. Thanks for the assurance. I am waiting for my 2GB of RAM to arrive.
