Screen size recommended

Hi

I run Flight Sim FSX on a 43" Pioneer Plasma screen on a en8800 768mb GTX graphic card (see my sig for spec). I get awfull FPS but sometimes just good enough for it to run smoothly like I can get 25ish sometimes. On some scenery though the fps is down to 2 or 4 FPS etc etc, which is not good. If I was to use a 30" LCD instead would I get better FPS. I have altrered my graphic settings to low but still get slow FPS?

Is it my high hugh Plasma causing this slow down?

What resolution is the 42" is it a full HD 1920 x 1080? if so a 8800GTX would have real trouble that.

with FSX have you got the latest patch? it doubles your FPS :)

Its not the screen size as such (as in inches) its the resolution that counts
a
24" with a 1920 x 1200 res takes a lot more power than an on 37" 1366 x 768

to play FSX on full you really do need a powerful GPU especially at high res

do you have forced AA on in nvidia control panel?

I think the panel is 1024x768

I have the Acceleration pack installed ontop of FSX which takes it to SP2. Is this the pacth you mean?

What GPU would you recomend, I am looking at the new GTX280 series cards.

I have set AA to on in ctrl pnl.
