Welcome to the PcGuide. We are going to need your system specs to help you out. Also, what do you mean by "beserk?"

Microsoft Windows XP Professional
5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600
AMD Athlon(tm)
999 MHz
512 MB RAM
160 GB HD
Display
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Adapter RAM 256.00 MB
well those my system specs...i guess it all started after i installed and tried playing dracula origins...i know...an extremely heavy game given my specs...so i uninstalled it...but now even my already installed lighter games such as WWE RAW total edition, Fifa, Conflict Global Storm have started framing, hanging and freezing all together.
i then have to manually restart my PC.
by berserk i mean the last game sound keeps looping, the display shows all these diagonal stripes, nothing on the keyboard works, basically the PC's goes on hang mode...
with RAW and Conflict it freezes 3-4 mins. into the gameplay, but then after a bit it unfreezes and everything's back to normal again.
with my fifa 08 the pc hangs altogether and the above mentioned circus takes place--the last game sound keeps looping, the display shows all these diagonal stripes, nothing on the keyboard works, basically the PC's goes on hang mode...
i've tried updating my drivers from Nvidia, even re-installing them, without any success. what could be wrong?

Maybe you screwed the card itself up when you tried running dracula origins, sounds like when my friend's radeon 9800 pro fried, he had the same symptoms.
I would go the remove all Nvidia drivers and reinstall them and DX9 and sound, chipset, etc...first.

what temps are the card getting?
http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php <<< download that and run a game and tell us what the graphics card temp gets to

installed and ran the 32 bit version of CPUID...it only shows the temps for my HDDs, ACPI, and Windbond W83697HF
how do i get it to show my card temps as well?
still open for other suggestions as well.
