I encounter this problem today. A couple of minutes after I started up my comp , it will auto shut down and re-boot. This happened for a few times. I was getting panicky. The intervals of it starting up and re-booting kept getting shorter and I don't have time to read the ' error / problem message ' the blue screen was showing. Terrified that the comp will just die on me, I grasped the few seconds before it re-boot again to shut down. This evening I tried starting up the comp and it happened again. However I was lucky enough to read what was written on the blue screen.

' A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

Tech information :

***Stop : 0x000000D1 ( 0x061E5DB8, 0x00000002,0x000001,0x86A53D6A)

***tcpip.sys - address86A53D64 base at 86A0F000, datestamp 4812cf1 '

All this means greek to me . Can someone help ? It will be greatly appreciated .

By the way , I am using Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium , Version 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001.

Oh ya , I forgot to add that after I read that ' error ' message. It re-booted and I managed to use ccleaner to clean up my system, upgraded my Firefox from 3.0.1 to 3.0.3 . It miraculously stopped crashing on me. I don't know have I inevidently stopped my ' problem ' or somehow delayed it. I'm afraid if I shut down the comp , it'll happen all over for me tomorrow :( .
