Questions with MS Outlook

Question 1: How do I get new messages from stop showing up everytime a new email is received in my inbox? Usually a small mail icon that looks like an envelope pops up in my system try (when I have outlook open and minimised) everytime a new email is received.

Question 2: How can I change my name that appears on you send or receive email? Please note not the email address.

which version of Outlook is it?

In 2003 (I can only give generalizations since I don't have it installed...) under tools, Options, there is a send receive tab. Under that there is a way to change how it behaves when new messages.

The other can be changed by going to tools, accounts. The name that is associated with your email address you want to change.

I have MS outlook 2003 and I still have not been able to stop the the heading that appears in your system try
