i have a dual intel slot [could be 1 or 2, im not sure, is there a way to check?] mobo using an intel chipset. but it doesnt have a basic atx power supply.

it has a main 24 pin socket, and then an auxilary 10 pin connector.

this matches the specs of a wtx power supply, but there is also a 22 pin connector on wtx power supplies, which is not present on this mobo. is this secondary 22 pin socket not required for operation on wtx boards?

the back of the board is rather standard, tho slightly out of order. ps/2 dins at the top, 2 com's and a parallel, nic socket, and finally 2 usb ports.

do i need a wtx power supply for this board? or is there something else out there that fits the requirements of this board?

http://www.anandtech.com/chipsets/showdoc.html?i=1483&p=10

this will give some info on wtx and that secondary should be 8 pin instead of 10
and here is another on the wtx it's self http://www.wtx.org/

Plus we have are own here at PC Guide http://www.pcguide.com/ref/case/formWTX-c.html

thanks for the links. the wtx.org site wasnt working earlier, but now it appears to be, so ill take a look at that. i did look over the information on the pcguide about wtx, and it did mention that one of the extra connectors is a 10 pin, and this gave me the hope that wtx is what i need.

any idea where i could actually buy one of these. it seems nmb is one of the few companies that actually makes these psu's. but they are rather pricey (close to $150) anywhere that may sell them for cheaper (refurb's or used)? thanks http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
