Y do Nvidia Cards run crysis better?

exactly what Nvidia cards are you talking about? Obviously the GTX 280 would beat a 3850... but im 99% sure it wouldnt beat a 4870X2

Historically speaking, any one GPU manufacturer can only be the best at one of the rendering API's. This time around, NVidia has more or less chosen to specialize in DirectX. AMD is trying for OpenGL. Although the disparity is a lot less than it used to be.
