i have a few questions about wireless adapters:

1. Is there a way to make a USB adapter as powerful as a PCI adapter? If so, how?

2. And is there a possible way to add more PCI slots to my computer? cause i have none available. i think my video cards takes all of them up, i'm not entirely sure. but i would get a PCI adapter in a heartbeat if i had an available slot.

I have moved your post as a new thread. It is generally best not to piggy-back existing threads with new enquiries.

PCI cards are limited to the slots on the mobo. On some much older boards with riser cards it may have been possible to swap the riser card to have different numbers of slots on them but this may, in any case, have only been for ISA and not PCI cards.

A USB adapter is, a bit like fixed mobo slots, not very adaptable since it has not movable antenna. It can only really be augmented by using a USB cable and orientating it by trial and error.

The best way to expand functions is probably to get a USB hub but that still wont give you a USB antenna of course.

P.S. There are such entities as PCI-to-PCI bridges (http://www.intel.com/design/bridge/21152.htm) - but I would guess a new mobo would be a cheaper option.
