Notebook Compaq Presario

Hey Guys, I have a compaq presario notebook that keeps on overheating and keeps my machine off, I went to a computer repair in our area and they only put a thermal compound in it and after 2 1/2months it happens back again, any suggestions for a better solutions. Thank you!

Make sure your heat sink is being vented properly and your fan is working right. That could help.

You might just need to clean it (inside).... I mean it must have sucked in plenty of dust during 2,5 months. Try taking it apart and dusting the fan and the heatsink.
