What's the difference between NTFS and FAT32 file system?
In structure, speed and other significant factors?

NTFS is better if your drive is large (20GB+). Also, FAT32 is limited to 4GB file sizes. Meaning DVD iso images cannot be stored on a FAT32 partition. FAT32 tends to slow down as more directories are created over time.

I recently bought an 8gig thumb drive. The instructions said to format it to FAT32. I wondered at the time why the instructions didn't say format to NTFS.
