Vid cards are designed to work in specific expansion slots and may require additional power connectors. Any single vid card that is made to use a PCIe x16 slot will work in any mobo that has a PCIe x16 slot. SLI and CrossFire/X are different because they use two vid cards at once. An SLI mobo won't do CrossFire/X, and a CrossFire/X mobo won't do SLI. But an SLI mobo will work with a single ATI/AMD vid card, and a CrossFire/X mobo will work with a single NVidia vid card. They will even work with two, as long as you use them as separate individual vid cards.

Clear now? :p
